Refund Policy
MicroArts provides custom B2B design and development services to clients in over 25 countries. Because every project is created specifically for the client, we do not offer “returns” in the traditional sense — but we do offer fair, stage-based refunds as detailed below. This policy applies to all services purchased through microarts.biz and forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
1. Scope
This policy covers Brand Identity, Logo & Brand Guide packages, Marketing Collateral, Presentation Design, Custom Website Development, and Annual Managed Website Maintenance. Custom-scoped projects quoted separately are governed by the agreement signed for that project; in the absence of a signed agreement, this policy applies.
2. Brand Identity & Logo Packages (Money-Back Guarantee)
In line with our advertised Risk-Free Design Policy, if you are not satisfied with any of the initial concepts presented for a Brand Identity or Logo package, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of receiving the first round of concepts, provided that:
- You have not approved a concept for final delivery,
- You have not used any concept, draft, or derivative work commercially or publicly, and
- You have given us a reasonable opportunity to revise the work (at least one revision round).
Once final source files (vector files, brand guide, etc.) have been delivered and accepted, the project is considered complete and is non-refundable.
2a. Refunds After Concept Selection
Selecting a concept for revision confirms creative direction and reduces (but does not eliminate) refund eligibility. If, after selecting a concept, the client determines the design cannot be made satisfactory through revisions, a partial refund may be requested within 7 days of the most recent revision delivery, according to the table below:

Refund requests at this stage must include specific written feedback explaining why the design direction cannot be made to work. MicroArts must be given at least one further opportunity to address that feedback before a refund is processed.
3. Marketing Collateral & Presentation Design
For packaging, brochures, flyers, postcards, presentations, and similar deliverables:
- Before concepts are delivered: 100% refund.
- After first concepts but before approval: 50% refund. The remaining 50% covers concept work already performed.
- After client approval or final file delivery: non-refundable.
4. Custom Website Development
Because website projects involve significant upfront strategy, design, and development, refunds are milestone-based:
- Before kickoff / discovery call: 100% refund.
- After discovery, before design mockups: 75% refund.
- After design mockups delivered, before development begins: 40% refund.
- After development has begun: non-refundable, but you retain ownership of all completed work and files produced to date.
- After site launch or final handover: non-refundable.
The free 1-month maintenance included with website packages is a complimentary add-on and has no separate refund value.
5. Annual Managed Website Maintenance
The annual maintenance plan ($249/year) may be cancelled at any time:
- Within the first 14 days of purchase, if no maintenance tasks have been performed: full refund.
- After 14 days or after any tasks performed: pro-rated refund for unused months, less a 15% administrative fee.
- No refund is issued for the month in which cancellation is requested.
6. Express Gigs & Starter Kits
Low-cost express packages (Pro Logo & Brand Guide $149, High-Impact Presentation $99, etc.) follow the same stage rules as their parent category above, with one exception: due to the discounted price and fast turnaround, refunds requested after the first concept delivery are limited to 30% of the package value.
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refund under any circumstances:
- Third-party costs incurred on your behalf (domain registration, hosting, premium themes, plugins, stock imagery, fonts, paid integrations, AI-tool subscriptions).
- Rush-fee surcharges, once the rush work has commenced.
- Projects where the client has stopped responding for more than 30 calendar days (considered abandoned).
- Refund claims raised more than 30 days after final delivery.
8. How to Request a Refund
Email info@microarts.biz with the subject line “Refund Request — [Your Project Name]” and include your order ID, the reason for the request, and any supporting context. We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and resolve it within 7 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take an additional 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
9. Chargebacks
We ask that you contact us first before raising a chargeback with your bank or card provider. Filing a chargeback without first attempting resolution with MicroArts may result in suspension of services and forfeiture of any deliverables produced.
10. Ownership on Refund
If a full refund is issued, all rights to the work produced revert to MicroArts and you agree not to use, publish, or modify any concepts or files received during the project. Where a partial refund is issued, ownership of the approved completed work remains with you as agreed.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. The policy in effect on the date of your purchase applies to that purchase.
